That endless sky with clouds, sunsets and the promise of a horizon that never comes but remains a bittersweet temptation to continue on flying against all sanity. THE SKY IS FLESH...the love affair with flying.... As the Japanese come, they depart (Noonan and Earhart) in her plane,the Electra, with low fuel and a battered exterior.
