BUYERS please be advised that there are other sellers making Icom relay cables but their cables offer no internal relay for isolation between your rig and amplifier. If you try to directly key an older amplifier without a relay buffer you WILL burn up your rigs keying circuit. ALL of my ICOM cables contain a small DIP relay inside the DIN plug that will key either AC or DC voltages up to 2 amps at 200V. A word about ALC: ALC (Automatic Level Control) is basically a throwback to the TUBE rig days when folks were unable to reduce the drive level to amplifiers. With today's modern day rig's ALC is rarely, if ever needed UNLESS your rigs maximum output exceeds your amplifiers drive limits. And even then most all rigs these days have an RF level adjust so you can cut back on the drive. ALC is likely to cause you more frustration than good.
