Description: Impressionist Mountain Stream, Canadian Rockies by Marie Boening Kendall (1885-1953), listed California artist, oil on canvas, 10 1/4" by 14", signed lower right, vintage French style gilded/painted frame, 14 3/4" by 18 7/8" outer dimensions. Kendall studied with William Chase at his summer classes in Carmel (1914) and Jean Mannheim while at Los Angeles College of Fine Arts. Very good condition with light stretcher impression, replaced stretcher keys, frame has intentional distressed finish and age-related wear.
