Description: Incredible textile art large Ikat (hinggi) hanwoven and handloomed. Size 300cmx110cm. Made in 2015 -2016. It took around 15 month to make the textile. Vegetable dyes; Indigo, Moring (red) ochre (yellow orange) Weaving as very fine as it is always done on Sumba ikats. Saturated colours create high Midfield with patola-inspired jilamprang motifs. Dark and light indigo and morinda red on ecru. Excellent execution of middle part of ikat, different shades of indigo color.
