Description: Insight Institute Very Rare - Early 1970's Edition From World of Playing Cards website: Insight Institute Tarot Court Cards, first published in c.1948, based on fifteenth century Italian ‘Minchiate’ designs, coloured to look like folk art. The cards have square corners, whilst later editions have rounded corners. Each card has a ‘t’ or tau printed at the top. The silk-screen printing process has left the ink raised on the cards: the print is often misaligned, but raised on the card and bleeding over in places. Images courtesy Alison Dunne. Please note: There is NO booklet included with this deck. RARE to find ... Collectors' Item. These cards have a lovely soft pastel colour palette, silk screened on cardboard with a glossy varnish type coating. Used condition with creases in a few cards, not all are shown, and most with black smudging on the face of the cards transferred from the previous card in the deck. Please view photos for general condition, as not all cards are shown. There is also a slight bow to the deck as shown in last photo.(The photos have a round black smudge which are from my camera, please ignore.) Very hard to find and snapped up quickly by collectors.
