Description: Interesting unused C1830 militia sabre blade. Top of tang and ricasso show no signs of having been finished into a sword. 32-1/8" long from ricasso to tip, about 38" including tang, curvature 1.76" out of straight as measured on the spine of the blade, 1.22" wide at ricasso. Blade is in the original polish with a light film and spots of patina overall. A most unusual piece for the advanced sword collector, as few blades could have possibly survived unused from this period.
