He was born in Panama on January 26, 1921 and died in Spain in February 2002. His initial studies were carried out with Roberto Lewis at the Escuela Nacional de Pintura, and he continued between 1940 and 1945 with Humberto Ivaldy. He traveled to Buenos Aires to study and at the "Ernesto de la Córdoba" Higher Academy of Fine Arts he obtained his degree as a painting teacher. He returned to the country and taught at the National School of Plastic Arts and in secondary schools in the capital. He actively participated in making Panamanian plastic; he exhibited collectively and individually, he painted murals in public and private institutions. He lived in Barcelona, Spain, where he worked as a painter, illustrator and teacher. His works are in museums and collections in Panama, Washington, Sao Paulo, New York and Bogota.
