Description: Do you have an old 90s desktop or laptop with a Zip100 or Zip250 Drive? Does your bios let you boot off of LS120 and Zip drives? Is your original hard drive by chance under 100MB or dead? And are you tired of swapping 1.44MB floppies around when wanting to access files or programs? If you answered yes to any of these 4 questions, I've got just the thing for you. Using new old stock zip disks, I will do a bare bones install of MS-DOS 7. (Unfortunately, 6.22 gets stuck on "Starting MS-DOS.") A decent config.sys and autoexec.bat will also be included for himem, emm386 and CD-ROM drivers. Most games made for MS-DOS 6.22 and below will work with DOS 7. In fact it's superior to older versions due to FAT32 support if enabled. After a complete installation including tools to replace commands and applications that don't work in MSDOS 7, you'll be left with around 98-95MB of free space. I've tried a Windows 95 install but you'd be better off trying to do so with a Zip250, even with all the trimming I did I still couldn't get it small enough to fit. 95 seems to want about 127MB to install. I've not tried other installs such as 3.11 or NT but I can tell you it's possible for both if you have guest.exe and the iomega drivers loaded through the zip disk before running setup on the install disks. You may even be able to just transfer those setup files directly to the zip disk as well depending on which version of windows you choose! While it isn't necessary, if you let me know that you have an AMD processor such as the K6-2 or K6-III series, I may be able to add more drivers and programs to help increase performance! Incompatible commands replaced with 3rd party abandonware include; -format -fdisk -sys -scandisk -chkdsk Programs that don't allow you to change default directories will not work due to the zip drive always reading as A: unless guest.exe is used in which case it could be any letter, such as C: if you have no hard drive.
