This opalized fossil Cleoniceras sp. once lived in a a shallow inland sea that was home to an incredible outpouring and abundance of then new life forms which included, beyond the ammonites, now extinct bivalves, fish, turtles, snakes, and many other life forms. This ammonite favors a vivid red, but also shows very bright flashes of ROGYBIV in gradations of lines upon its shell. This Cleoniceras sp. measures approximately 2 1/8” x 1 5/8” x 1/2”, weighs 1.8 ounces, and comes in its own glass-faced display case (see pics). Free US shipping only.
