Originally a successful Broadway play by Alexandre Breffort that was nominated for a Tony award, IRMA LA DOUCE became Billy Wilder's biggest box office hit. With absurdly funny situations and snappy dialogue, this film is the story of a Parisian policeman (Lemmon) who becomes the lover (and unwilling pimp) of a carefree prostitute (MacLaine). Andre Previn won the Academy Award for Best Music, and MacLaine was nominated for Best Actress. These front of house cards, which served as lobby cards in Britain, are in very fine plus condition. Really quite nice. The cards are sent in the original cello bag they came in. We also have other posters on this film.
