Description: Beautiful stoneware art pottery serving bowl / vegetable bowl designed by Nancy Patterson Lamb for Iron Mountain Pottery, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee. The pattern is called Lookout Mountain. Lookout Mountain features a large cobalt blue dot in the center with abstract brush strokes and a smaller brownish-red dot on the outside. The dots are said to represent a sunrise / sunset over a mountain top. The background is light, creamy tan in color with flecks of brown. According to Nancy Lamb "The decoration for the Lookout Mountain pattern evolved from the paintings of Jim Kaneko and my sister, Sally Patterson. I thought their work would make a great pattern. I named it Lookout Mountain because it was so unique at the time as a dinnerware pattern, and it was saying "LOOKOUT" to the potential customers." The bowl measures approximately 8" diameter x 2 3/4" tall. This listing is for one (1) bowl. No chips or cracks. This is a used bowl and are there are scratches / wear from use. At the time of listing, I have two of these bowls available. Choose your quantity from the drop-down menu. Bowls are both in the same condition. The blue on one is lighter. Marked with the Iron Mountain Pottery stamp on the bottom.
