Description: Isle of Man One Penny Accommodation Token dated 1830. This token bears the effigy of King George III, even though that monarch had died ten years previously, in 1820. It is a 'Publick Accommodation' token (i.e. for use in payment of that only). It was variously known in the Isle of Man as McTurk's Token, Caine's Token and Carter's Token.The token measures 2.8cm (just over 1 inch) in diameter, and is in the condition to be expected for its age, as shown in the above photographs.FREE UK Postage.
