Description: J.R.MALLY &Co A unique piece of old London art pottery very likely from the early 1900s, or possibly earlier. J.R.Mally & co were well known to be at the forefront of a small Victorian Aesthetic movement which specialised in a technique called (Drip Glaze) one of the designers associated with this movement was Christopher Dresser (1834-1904) It is said that he was the true innovator of the Arts and crafts movement and his works as a significant influence on both William Morris and Louis Tiffany. This highly unique Victorian stlye shoe measures 9.5 inches in length, and 3 inches wide. Has a 1.25 inch high heel, and the back of the shoe is 3.75 inches high while the tip rises to 3 inches. The glaze colour also seems to be a popular colour used by mally, and it is possible that the father of the entire Arts and Crafts movement had a hand in this stunning piece. The condition of this piece is almost mint, and had normal signs of age.
