It is a common houseplant grown worldwide. General Description: The Jade plant is an evergreen succulent. Hardiness Zone: 11 to 12 Maintenance: Low Mature Height: 3 to 6 feet Mature Width: 2 to 3 feet Plant Details: Growth Habit: Their growth habit is small and contained only reaching a height of 6 ft. over the course of many years. Trimming is easy and does not ill-effect the growth of the plant itself. Leaf Structure: Thick, shiny, and smooth, growing in opposing pairs along the branches. Rich, jade green, oval succulent in structure. A red tinge on the edges appears if they were exposed to high levels of sunlight. Stem Structure: New growth is the same color and texture as the leaves. Over time the stem can become brown, but they always remain succulent fleshy.
