Description: Set of 9 James Ellroy paperbacks:Destination: Morgue has small scratches on the back cover. The front cover has a vertical scratch near the top, closer to the spine. The top middle textblock has a thin brownish line with some discoloration at the end of the top textblock. A few pages have been dog-earred. Crimewave: A vertical crease along the back cover. Scratches on the front cover. Yellowing pages. The Black Dahlia: A crease on the bottom front cover. Scratches on front and back covers. Yellowing pages. Surface vertical lines on the spine though the binding remains tight. American Tabloid: On the back cover at the outer corner there is a crease that extends to the middle bottom. There is creasing at the top outer corner of the back cover. The front cover has a fold on the bottom outer corner. Scratches on front and back covers. There is a vertical line in the spine and the book opens to pages 257 or 259. Inside back cover near the outer bottom there is a stain that follows the crease on the other side. Yellowing pages. Vertical textblock at bottom has some staining which is not evident on the pages. A very small tear on the lower front cover.The Big Nowhere: Surface scratches on the front and back covers. In the middle of the front cover, there are 2 creases that are visible on the inside. There is a small crease on the bottom of the front cover in the middle. On the spine there are a few vertical creases though the binding remains tight. Pages yellowing. White Jazz: Surface scratches on front and back covers. A surface line on the spine that does not affect the binding which is still tight. Some fraying of the top outer corner of the front cover on the inside. Dog-earred page on 201. Suicide Hill: Noted loss of some of the color at the very top of the front and back covers and along the outsides of the spine. Also, along the outer vertical edge of the front cover in the middle. A vertical crease next to the spine on the front cover. Yellowing pages. Price written in pencil on the first inside page. Hollywood Nocturnes: Surface scratches on front and back covers. Some creasing of the spine but binding remains tight. Inside front and back covers show some paste action. Brown's Requiem: Yellowing pages. Surface scratches on front and back covers. Scratches on the back cover at the bottom near the spine that are white. Some whitening along the vertical outer spine where the front and back covers connect. Binding is tight. Approximately 3/4 of the upper vertical textblock show a darker yellow than the rest. See photos for more details.
