It measures 22" x 15" and the overall matted size is 25-3/4" x 19-1/2" The painting is currently unframed. Laid down on matting. Damage and adhesive residue on matting due to removal from frame. Viewing area is undamaged. We found the following information about the artist online: "James Greig was born in Arbroath, Scotland in 1861. He moved to London in 1891 to study art, continuing his training in Paris between 1895 and 1896. He settled in London, producing illustrations for a number of magazines, including Punch, The Sketch and The Strand. Greig painted UK and Middle Eastern landscapes, designed posters for P&O and illustrated Arthur Conan Doyle works. He was elected a Member of the Royal Society of British Artists in 1898."
