James Iās first speech in the Starre Chamber, (A hall at Westminster) reflecting the whole attitude of the King towards the questions of the day. The King asserts his Divine Right, and states that he is a God in the seat of Gods. He also upholds all the courts of justice, and in particular the Courts of Civil Commission, and, of course, the Star-Chamber. Among other subjects he addresses is the building of new buildings in London and threatens dire punishment to unauthorized builders. Quite the marvelous Capture of Tyme have we here, a very rare and distinctive book indeed!
