Description: Tea for one breakfast sets are stunning. Complete intact sets are hard to find. Listed here is a James Kent England pattern number 5167 with all over gold chintz roses overlaid with fruit motifs. The set is unfortunately incomplete - missing its toast rack. The tray plate has moulded wells designed specifically to accommodate a tea pot, tea cup, milk jug, sugar or preserves pot, toast rack(missing) Scallop edges with raised tab handles for the stand. Pattern is set against a cream ivory ground and gilt edges the pieces to offset their patterning. The pieces still have has full lustre and colour; pattern is intact although there is some slight fading on the tray - pictured . Gilt edging is intact . With the exception of the cup there are no cracks. The cup has a small hairline crack pictured from a rim divet .There is some age crazing largely hidden by the density of the pattern A very hard to find and beautiful vintage set.
