Description: From another listing (that can be found online), the photo which was signed in this frame was "on inside cover" of a 12-page 11" x 14" program for the play “A Partridge in a Pear Tree” at The John F. Kennedy Center for The Performing Arts in 1981. The signed photo is beautifully framed and both actors inscribed a note to "Judge Bruce and Janet". The "judge" in these inscriptions was Judge Bruce Mencher of Washington, DC. He passed in February in 2022, and from his obituary: "Judge Bruce S. Mencher, who served on the D.C. Superior Court for four decades and who was well known in the legal community for his passion for both law and music, passed away on February 17 at age 86." Further information on the judge can be found online. James Mason inscribed and signed: "To Judge Bruce & Janet Greetings! James Mason" and Clarissa Kay inscribed and signed: "To Judge Bruce & Janet Bestests, Clarissa Kay 1-14-81". The autographs have not been authenticated, but are consistent with others that can easily be found online. Also, I assume that only a single leaf of the program the front cover and the "inside cover" photo, are framed; the remainder of the program is not included in the listing. This "inside cover" was beautifully framed in a wood frame. The dimensions of the frame are 15" by 12". The back of the frame shows the cover of the program. Both the front and rear of the program are covered by thick plastic (pretty sure its not glass). There are a few nicks on the wooden frame, mainly on the back which was against a wall (only one small nick on a corner seen on the front of the frame); otherwise it is very clean and attractive. The back was dusty and was wiped down for this listing. From the other listing which provides this more expansive information on the actors: "Clarissa Kaye (1931-1994) was an Australian stage, film and television actress. She was the second wife (1971-1984) of the British actor James Mason. She was also known as Clarissa Kaye-Mason. Her first film role was as Meg in Age of Consent (1969), in which she appeared in scenes with James Mason. She later starred in Ned Kelly (1970), Frankenstein: the True Story (1973) and Salem's Lot (1979). She appeared in a few more stage and screen productions with Mason, but they rarely acted in the same scenes. James Mason (1909-1984) earned Oscar nominations for Best Actor for A Star Is Born (1954) and Best Supporting Actor for Georgy Girl (1966) and The Verdict (1982). Whether playing Brutus (Julius Caesar, 1953), a master spy (North By Northwest, 1959) or a pedophile (Lolita, 1962), Mason could be counted on for a strong performance. Among his other notable films are Madame Bovary (1949), The Desert Fox (1951), Prisoner of Zenda (1952) and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954)." SL
