What is Kokkei Shinbun (Kokkei-Newspaper) A magazine-type (A4 size, usually 20 pages) satirical newspaper on power (published twice a month) published in Osaka by Sotoke Miyatake on January 25, 1901. With the aim of "frustrating the strong and helping the weak, defying the bad and taking the side of the good," the newspaper was filled with caricatures of government officials, prosecutors, prosecutors, judges, politicians, priests, corrupt merchants, and corrupt newspapers. It is said that at its peak, the newspaper had a circulation of 80,000.
