Description: A beautiful pair of Japanese porcelain plates, in a scallop shape and painted in the Imari colours. They both have hand-painted patterns of a landscape and fauna, with gilding applied throughout. Each is 24cm in height, one is in good condition and the other has two small chips on the rim. The gilding is rubbed on both. Each has a symbol mark on the back, believed to relate to Buddhism. We believe they date to the early 20th century. They are well made, painted and are an unusual pair for a collection. We recommend viewing all the photos before buying. We are also happy to answer any questions to help you make the right decision.
