Description: Hi Collectors. I'm not an expert in Japanese pottery. This is a beautiful hand carved pottery vase, possibly Banko Ware, possibly by Yaki, or maybe Sumida Gawa? You're the experts, if you're unsure please do your own research. This lovely piece is a unique shape - kind of a wishing well or bucket? It has a hole in the back too so it can be a wall pocket that you'd mount to a wall. Or, it stands alone nicely if you want to use it as a vase. The scene on the front is spectacular with the temple, mountain and forest. I'm not sure what the words on the back are, but I've seen similar people are are saying mean "Good Luck". Again, you're the experts... I tried to adjust the background in a couple of photos to make the words more readable. You can see what the actual back looks like vs the adjusted photos I'm sure... The vase is about 6 1/2" tall. It's in very nice condition and from an elderly Japanese couple's estate. I usually ship within one day of receiving payment. I like to be paid within 2. days of auction's. close. 4954
