Description: Vtg Japanese Haori Himo Kimono Accessory This is a Japanese vintage haori himo made of carved bamboo beads dyed a deep indigo blue on the edges, with natural bamboo peeking through. Two strands are wound around one another, accented with gold beads and gold metal clasps. It comes in the original paper box without a lid. A haori himo is a decorative cord, chain, or string that holds the kimono's haori (jacket) closed and in position. There is a string cord tie type, a glass ball passed through a braided cord, and, recently, a magnetic type. They attach to the haori via loops on the jacket's collar using small clasps or hooks.
