Description: *Here you have a wonderful bit of VINTAGE HISTORICAL MEMORABILIA! Please...SEE THE SCAN! This is JAPANESE INTERNMENT CAMPS and U.S. CONCENTRATION CAMPS featured in a complete 1942 issue of CORONET Magazine. This includes a fascinating inside article entitled "CONCENTRATION CAMP—U.S.A. STYLE". (AMERICAN STYLE INTERNMENT CAMPS—WHERE BRUTALITY IS UNHEARD OF AND DEMOCRACY IS THE RULE—ARE BOTH A PROTECTION AGAINST OUR ENEMIES AND INVESTMENT IN THE FUTURE.) You can tell by the sub-title that this soft pedals the internment policy. It paints glowing pictures of the Japanese-American population in accepting internment and living at the camps. It also compares the life there (Manzanar, Tanfaron, Santa Anita, International Livestock Expo near Portland, Oregon) with the camps back east for “other enemies” at places like Ellis Island... Nice 4-page article! There is another small illustration of happy Japanese in a camp—one waving the red, white and blue… Coronet Magazine in this era is an upscale digest full of photos, art and articles that touch on themes of the day. This is a wonderful time capsule and measures a little over 5.5 inches X 7.5 inches. This has PRETTY GOOD VINTAGE WEAR ON THE EDGES AND CORNERS OF THE COVER. Not mint but fairly gently read. It's a great piece for the collector! Take it home with you! Winner, please add $4.00 for postage and wonderful packaging. GOOD LUCK! I am happy to send this to any country. 1st class international air postage will be charged…Please Check Out My Ebay Store For More Coronets and Other Memorabilia! THANKS! 33A03 ***
