Fumio Tanaka (Brief Biography)1932: Born in Ibaraki Prefecture1946: Graduated from an advanced elementary school and became an apprentice under a master carpenter in Chiba Prefecture1953: Completed his apprenticeship and moved to Tokyo, working on the repairs of Nezu Shrine1954: Entered the Architecture Department at Waseda Industrial High School1955: Began researching traditional houses1957: Participated in the survey of townhouses in Imai-cho, Nara Prefecture, and the survey of houses in Akiyama Village (until 1958)1958: Graduated from Waseda Industrial High School and founded Tanaka Construction.
