Description: Antique porcelain pillow vase, hand painted roses, Jean Pouyat, Limoges, France, 1900s, ornately twisted handles.Jean Pouyat, Limoges, France, 1890 -1932, exquisitely decorated and hand painted tall vase, with double ornately twisted handles in rich gold, as well as a scalloped gold lip with added scrollwork and details on a blue background, and a gold base. The designs include lovely roses in pale pinks, with rich foliage in greens and blue shadows, with hand painted vines reaching across from one side of the vase to the other. There’s a small amount of wear to the most prominent gold points, and a few odd drips of paint, the largest drip is on one gold handle, shown, that could probably be removed. This exquisite pillow vase measures 11 ¼ inches tall, by 6 ¼ x 4 ¼ inches at the widest point and is a warm almost gray or bone tone. Stamped J.P. – L.
