I have for sale this very nice arts and crafts period 1905-1925 Jefferson reverse painted lamp. Jefferson made some great reverse painted lamps and this one here is one of them. Please take a close look and notice the details in this shade. The shade signed on the inside the shade itself, and the shade has four completely different and distinct scenes in it, all in nice warm yet vibrant colors, which means you have four choices for your display focal point. Thats a lot of bang for your buck lol. That goes to show how much work went into this lamp shade. I collect all makes and models of period lighting, and my favorite is reverse painted lamps. They have so much human interaction and touch whereas leaded, slag glass panel, overlays, etc etc are nice of course, but not like a reverse painted, with its artistic feel throughout and care in the making. Those other type of lamps cant have the coloration of nature in general with the trees, skies, water, or landscape scenery, and they never will. That said, this Jefferson lamp is period 1905-1925 and not a reproduction. The Jefferson base in fine working order, recently rewired with period style cloth cord and old style plug. No dents, dings, nor damage of any sort. The base retaining its original acorn pulls and its original patina throughout, and is in fine working order. Super cool base and completely unlike any other of the great period makers of that time period. Now onto the shade. The photos your seeing are from only 7.5 watt bulbs that’s how colorful and vibrant this shade is. The paint quality and condition is excellent with no losses or condition issues to note and the shades exterior is acid etched. A very very warm look perfect for an arts and crafts style room or home. Perfect for a Stickley or Limbert table or something similar. This is a full sized lamp measuring 24 inches tall and 18 inches wide. Simply a world class reverse painted lamp from one of the best makers of them there ever was.
