Print Description description The Night Before Christmas color_lens "O Christmas Tree depicts red, green, yellow, and blue — a rainbow of colors splashed across the starry, December sky. The majestic pine rises against the snowy backdrop of winter, aglow with the merriment of the Christmas season. The bright lights on its descending branches shine brilliantly through the fresh fallen snow. As two children make their way to the warmth of their home they can't help but pause for a moment to catch a glimpse of its splendor. As they stand gazing, a Christmas reunion is taking place. A son is returning home from afar to visit the family and friends for the holidays. As the faint sound of Christmas carols fill the crisp night air, the peace and joy can be felt by all."-- Jesse Barnes Artist Biography account_box About the Artist color_lens Jesse Barnes was born in Jefferson City, Missouri in 1936. He has spent a lifetime perfecting his craft, always searching for the scene that will inspire his next painting. At the age of ten, Jesse sold his first original oil painting to the principal of his elementary school. Since that time, with the support of many loyal patrons, Jesse Barnes became one of the country's most renowned artists. Jesse painted professionally for over thirty years, during which time he painted everything from individual portraits to wildlife and landscapes. However, Jesse's later paintings centered mainly around early American nostalgia themes with an emphasis on lighting effects. In 1983, Mr. Barnes released his first limited edition collectors print entitled The Night Before Christmas. Since that time, Jesse Barnes took us on a magical journey back through time from a snowy 1800's train depot to the corner cafe. We've been on a moonlit trip down the Mississippi River and home for the holidays. The professional career of this self-taught artist has spanned nearly three decades. He created for Ducks Unlimited, Hallmark Cards, and American Field Magazine. His oil paintings of fine detail and lighting effects of Early American scenes transport the viewer into another place and time. In December of 1983, Jesse released his first limited edition print. Jesse Barnes resided in Springfield, Missouri before his passing in May 2017. Payment Information payment Methods of Payment color_lens We accept PayPal as our main form of payment.
