Description: For sale is a vinyl record by Jessi Colter titled "Diamond In The Rough", originally released in 1976 by Capityol Records Records with an embossed cover, then reissued by The Columbia House Record Club, for sale to their mail-order customers, as indicated by "Manufactured by Columbia House" on the back cover. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched "Mastered by Capitol" and "Waly", followed by "T" anthe matrix numbers G-13/F-14, indicating that this record was mastered at Capitol Studios Mastering at Hollywood, California by Wally Traugott, before later stampers were used to make this record at Columbia Records' pressing plant located in Terre Haute, Indiana. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The inner sleeve is graded as Excellent because of a couple of creased corners and wrinkles. The cover is graded as Excellent because of stress cracks along the spine, corner blunts and edge rubs. The spine has color loss at the corners from the blunts and in one spots in the middle from a stress cracks. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint Minus because of some superficial sleeve marks, but still with surfaces that are shiny and bright, in a like-new condition, without any surface scratches, scuffs or smusges. There are some light spindle marks on the labels. I'm play grading it between Excellent and Near Mint because of some occasional low level ticking and super low levels of surface noise, predominately at the beginning of each side. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I've owned it and still has a lot of life yet. This is still one of the best copies of this album that I have ever heard or seen. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I have a lot more Country records as well as albums of all different genres listed in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're predominately Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing. I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
