Description: This lovely miniature framed print under glass is from Jesus In The Temple by German artist Heinrich Hoffman, 1891. The gold toned carved solid wood frame is beautiful with some worn and flaking paint. No chips or cracks on the glass. There is a small brass loop for hanging. Made in the USA, the cardboard backing has a National Recovery Administration stamp dating to Oct 1934. That in itself is a nice piece of history. The NRA was a program set forth by FDR in 1933 to address unfair trade, unemployment, collective bargaining, and employee wages. It was short-lived after being declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court in 1935. The frame measures approximately 4.75"x3.75"x.75" with a weight of 3.5 oz.
