Description: Jim Harrison Hand Signed & #’d Lithograph, “Rural Delivery” #139/1500 (1976). Dimensions: 27” x 20.5”.Framed & matted. Beautiful lithograph! This is an extremely valuable piece that would be a very nice addition to any high end art collector. Jim Harrison’s website has it listed at a value of $535, as shown in the last photograph, where it shows the lithograph had a cost of $40 new in 1976, and a current value of $535. The frame needs a little touching up in a couple of places, with a little light sanding and a touch of stain. This is the only flaw. The print itself and the border are perfect! About the artist: Jim Harrison began painting Coca Cola murals and signs on the sides of barns, pharmacies, general stores and hardware stores in Denmark, South Carolina. This was where he got his start with creating a name for himself. Although he did spend some time working as a talent scout for the Cleveland Indians, he ended up leaving scouting and coaching in 1970 to pursue his passion for creating art. He agreed to a contract with the Coca Cola company to paint the images for their annual calendars. He passed away in June of 2016 in his art studio in Denmark, SC.
