Large black faux pearls (probably glass, these are heavy, very good quality!) enhanced with peacock colors of teal and mauve (see listing photos) MATERIAL: goldtone metal clasp, glass pearls with peacock coating MAKER/MARKS: marked Joan rivers on hang tag by clasp, and in Joan Rivers velvet pouch DIMENSIONS: .approx 35" CONDITION: very good. Clasp is tarnished over decades storage in a jewelry box. Chain easily slips over your head, no need to ever unclasp unless you want to very slightly adjust. Currently lobster claw sits between last 2 pearls on one end, and can be moved one pearl over. I am not positive there wasn't a more formal jump ring at one time, but this looks and works fine, so may be as originally made. (since original owner had 100s of unworn pieces of jewelry, this is probably unworn/undamaged as well) (Most vintage jewelry pieces need cleaning or polishing...I never "monkey with" vintage items, leaving that up to new owners....both product choice and what to do! I recommend only wiping with a damp cloth. Please NEVER dip jewelry!)
