Description: For sale is a vinyl record by Johnny Mathis titled "So Nice", originally released in 1966 by Mercury Records, with a cover that has a sticker that says "Stereo SR-61091", but inside is a monaural record numbered "MG-21091" instead. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put the album into an archival inner sleeve. I always put my new records directly into a protective inner sleeve(s), thus preserving the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) that may have come with the release. The inner sleeve is graded as Excellent because of creased and wrinkled corners. Inside the dead wax, between the last tracks and the labels is etched "MR", followed by the matrix numbers A-2/B-3, indicating that early stampers were used to make this record at Mercury Records Manufacturing Company's pressing plant located in Richmond, Indiana. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint, with surfaces that are shiny and bright, in a like-new condition, without any surface scratches, scuffs, smudges or spindle marks on the labels. I'm play grading this record as Near Mint, without surface noise, lock-ups, pops or skips from start to finish. The cover is graded as Very Good Plus because of minor corner blunts, ink writing on the back cover and a drill hole on the bottom right hand corner of the front cover. There are stickers on the spine and on the lower right hand corner which were put on after market. The spine is Near Mint with faint color loss at the corners from these blunts. This is still one of the best copies of this record that I have ever seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find a copy like this one, especially a Richmond pressing. This would make a great addition to a anyone's collection. I have other Pop albums, as well as records of all different genres, listed in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're predominately Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing. I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
