Description: Joseph P. Allen autograph hand outline in blue ink pen, signed “Joe Allen, STS-5, STS-51A, Oct. 20, 1996”. Signed on white paper size 8 1 /2” x 11”, folded twice, shows wear. He is a NASA astronaut who flew into space on STS-5 and STS-51A. He was born June 27, 1937, in Crawfordsville, Indiana.HISTORYI got this back in the 1990s when I was active in autograph collecting. I always enjoyed visiting the Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood, where I could see the actual handprints of the stars in cement. I decided to make my own collection, and maybe even make a book out of it. I started writing letters to celebrities, and most of them were nice enough to respond. Some sent simple hand outlines, while others sent more elaborate messages. It was a fun project. Overall, I managed to acquire more than 100 examples. I've enjoyed them for a long time. Now I want to break up this collection, so individual collectors can get something special from their favorite celebrity.SOURCEWho am I, you ask?
