There are only 12 higher graded CGC Signature Series examples of this book in existence. A CGC 6.0 Signature Series example, signed by Stan Lee, sold for $20,000 (£15,742) in October 2023. It has been professionally graded by CGC, the largest independent comic grading company in the world, and slabbed in a sealed protective case. NOTE - this has a second generation CGC case and they are only sealed and fixed at the corners, so the top and side edges are not sealed tight and may have tiny gaps. This is perfectly normal for this style of case and further details are on the CGC boards if you use a search engine and use "CGC case gaps". We will provide photos of the sides before shipping to avoid any issues over claims that the cases are faulty. The grade is guaranteed to be mid-grade Apparent 6.0 (FINE) and this is a yellow label CGC Signature Series, which means that an authorised CGC representative witnessed the signing and this also acts as a Certificate Of Authenticity. As soon as the comic is signed, it is removed by a CGC authorised party and submitted straight to CGC for grading and encapsulation, guaranteeing the authenticity of the signature. The "Apparent" reference is due to the fact that CGC found elements of Moderate Professional (MP) restoration on the comic, which are described on the label in the front cover scan and at the CGC comics web-site. You can check the validity of this item and signature by entering the 10 digit number on the label at the CGC web-site. There are no cracks on the case. Any glare is just the scanner on the CGC case, which causes reflection.It will be shipped in a strong oversized box with internal support.
