The knife has an epoxy powder coated, high carbon (1095) steel blade with a [HRC 56-58] hardness rating. The Mark 1 features a 5 1/8" straight edge blade that is flat ground sharpened to 20 / 20 degrees with buff polished edges. The overall length of this knife is 9 3/16", the perfect size for this easy carry tactical Navy knife. The metal butt caps & carbon steel guards, are both powder coated to protect against corrosion. Knife is made exclusively in Olean, New York and proudly stamped with the KA-BAR brand name. Knife comes in a non-reflective all black finish and has a straight edge flat ground blade for better edge retention and easy sharpening. Knife comes with a hard shell reinforced black plastic sheath which is a highly protective and can withstand rough treatment in harsh terrains. These sheaths are known for their resistance to impact, corrosion, and abrasion.
