In the end, Masque only took the band part way to the top, charting for twenty weeks, peaking at #70 in early 1976. If this wasn't the band's big commercial breakthrough - that would have to wait until the band's follow up effort Leftoverture - tracks like the stunning "The Pinnacle" and the blistering "Child Of Innocence" were hits at least to Kansas' ever growing faithful, and these songs remain fan favorites to this day.
