In September, BAPE put Kid Cudi alongside Milo while wearing a red Shark hoodie. This tee was only sold at the BAPE NY store. In December, the same graphic was released exclusively at the BAPE LA store, but with Kid Cudi wearing a grey shark hoodie instead. Kid Cudi has been wearing BAPE his whole career, working at BAPE’s NYC store up until he started touring internationally from his “Day ‘N’ Nite” success. Since his days working for BAPE the two parties have continued to maintain a strong relationship. Their working relationship includes (but is not limited to): a graphic T-shirt collaboration in 2010, a special edition capsule honoring BAPE NY’s 10th anniversary in 2015 and a semi-rework of the 2009 graphic—featuring Cudi posed next to Baby Milo in a leather jacket and full-zip hoodie—in 2016.
