As can be seen on the reverse of the banner, it was originally made for King Edward VIII, with his cypher ER VIII. Then, the cypher change to GR was made, by sewing a new piece of painted cloth on the front center. Grommets at four corners for hanging. Light ivory-colored canvas cloth in excellent condition. ****** VERY FINE CONDITION ****** The banner measures 17.5" x 105". Hence, the width is 8 feet 9 inches. Except for a couple of small stains (see images 5 and 6) the banner flag is in remarkably fine condition. BRIGHT, CLEAN, AND BOLD.
