Description: This horn needs almost no introduction. Serial number 7034xx, this King Super 20 Silversonic is dated at late 1977. It's a horn with a great back story and is ready to gig out of the box. It was custom ordered by Don Menza on behalf of Rick "Bubbles" Frazier, tenor saxophonist with the Wayne Newton Band for 25 years. Here are the highlights from the recent overhaul/repad servicing:Excellent condition! Original lacquer Sterling silver bell and neck Overhauled with Sax Gourmet black leather pads with "crinkle" Maestro Star Classic silver plated resonators Teflon inserts at friction points Dent free! Some small dents were removed in the overhaul process The gold wash on bell is beautiful. There are some scratches inside the bell Body tube is nice and straight, no leaks whatsoever, exceptionally tight horn Clothes guard custom inscribed from the King factory "Made Especially for Rick Frazier" Selmer flight case with stickers from back stage and gigs from all over Moderately open key heights Spring tensions are a little on the tighter side, VERY snappy and responsive!
