Description: This CABLE with DIN PLUG is for a Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 computer speaker system’s Preamplifier Pod. This cable does not fit the earlier v.2-400 version’s Preamplifier Pod. (I can make a cable for that version of preamplifier pod, upon request). This is a listing for a Klipsch owner who already has the 4.1 preamplifier control pod and needs to replace the cable with its 8-pin DIN plug. The 4.1 pod has three knobs plus a push button switch, an input jack and a headphone 3.5mm jack on the side of the pod. [The v.2-400 preamplifier pod also has three adjustment knobs, but lacks a latching pushbutton switch (mute), and has no jacks for headphones nor auxiliary input on that pod's side.] The Klipsch ProMedia v.2-400 and 4.1 systems use the same 8-pin DIN plug to connect to the amplifier, and the pods can work with either version of system, but the plugs inside the preamplifier pods are different (one uses a JST-XH and the other uses a JST PH—see photo for comparison). This cable will NOT work with a v.2-400 preamplifier. I do have a cable also for a v.2-400 preamplifier control pod in a separate listing. The cable is a good quality, new 12-foot Peavey, and the internal plug for inside the preamplifier pod is new. The cable and internal plug are soldered together and insulated with heat shrink tubing. The cable has been tested and works well on a Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 pod.
