Description: KNIGHTS TEMPLAR / Freemasons COMMANDERY #2 BOSTON & 'DEWITT CLINTON' Lodge FROCK COATS (1891 on manuf' Tag sewn in pocket.) SEE photos. One has a tag with 'BOSTON COMMANDERY #2' & owners name SIR GEORGE P OWATT. also makers tag hard to read - 'The ......... BOSTON'. The DE WITT CLINTON Coat has 3 initials on a home-made inner tag of FPT (owner?) ALSO has a manufacturers Tag inside the inside pocket (1891 on tag.) 'UNITED GARMENT WORKERS of AMERICA' , No Sizing . Both Coats need cleaning & some attention to buttons . No Moth or insect damage. a feint smell of moth-balls / Camphor on one is now gone (aired out.) THE Boston Comm' #2 has 1 metal clip on each outer side (for a belt.) THE DC coat has no clips. Has a small pin hole on 1 sleeve only , minor must mention , no other holes, See arrow in photos. both as acquired , not cleaned or pressed etc. Both are beautifully fully lined with inner pockets, one has an inner hand Gun pocket . One button from the front that came off has a makers name on the reverse side 'T..... 'De PARiS' , The Coats are made in the USA , the buttons were imported from France. The stitching has come loose on one sleeve lining under the arm , stitching is still half attatched , SEE PIC' of plain White lining , the DEWITT CLINTON Coat has a Victorian style Striped lining in the sleeves . BOTH Coats c1890s. The 2 COATS Will be Sent from TASMANIA AUSTRALIA . I tried on the DC Coat & It fits me well, the sleeves are a perfect fit - i am 5' 9" & regular build , THE BOSTON COMM' #2 Coat is a smaller sized Coat & too small for me to try on . It looks like the smaller Jacket belonged to Sir George P OWATT ( i could find no ref' to him with a quick online search.) The D'C' Coat has initials on a tag - FPT , it may be possible to track both coats to the owners. * INTERNATIONAL SHiPPING COST is approximate , any shipping overcharge will be refunded when your parcel is weighed & Shipped , same day!
