Description: Lamp to top of socket: 22.5" Lamp to top of finial: 32.5"Weight (not including cord): 9 lbs. 5.5 oz. It has been newly rewired with a 3-way socket and a cord with a polarized plug. One of the reasons the lamp looks cool is because the cord runs up the side and through the faux book press instead of running up a middle pipe like most lamps. That also means I had to take it all apart to run up the new cord. In doing so, I accidentally snapped an interior piece in half that one of the side knobs screws onto. There’s a picture where I pointed out the two spots that I added some basic glue to stop the pieces from moving. I used basic Elmer’s glue, so it can come off again if the side knob is twisted. There is no chance of the lamp falling apart if that happens. The only trouble will be if you have to take the whole lamp apart again decades in the future if you need it rewired again. The harp is a little loose, which could mean it’s not the original, or it’s under the weight of the heavier than normal finial. The wood base is about 13.75” x 8”. The handle twists a little bit, but that just loosens the parts. The press is not supposed to come down, as all the parts are decorative. The wood and brass show some aging, but overall they look pretty good. The Knob Creek label is on the bottom and also the socket. The interior socket is new, but I managed to keep on the original brass shell.
