Description: KOOL & the GANG, SISTER SLEDGE, KINSMAN DAZZ, Original Placard, Vintage, 1980 Concert. NOT A POSTER, RARE. This is a what I call a "placard". It is listed under "Posters" because there is no category for placards. It's not a poster but could be used as one. Placards were used for advertising a single event and are usually made of heavy paper, and/or paper-faced cardboard, or occasionally regular paper. Most were stapled/nailed to wooden utility poles but sometimes displayed in record store, or shop windows. With the advent of technology placards aren't used so much anymore. This 41 year old, beautiful yellow and black cardboard faced paper placard had been taken off a wooden utility pole in 1980. There are slight condition issues in relation to the time it spent on the pole.
