Description: New CD, Polish release It would seem that at the beginning of the 1970s, Seweryn Krajewski was the king of life. This talented young man wrote great songs, played guitar and sang in the super popular band Czerwone Gitary. Half of Poland loved him, the other half envied him. Yet Krajewski lacked something. He felt that rock'n'roll - known as bigbit on the Vistula River - apart from its numerous advantages, had one disadvantage: too many banal texts in it. Meanwhile, Krajewski would like a wiser, more beautiful Polish, poetic. He wanted Agnieszka Osiecka to arrange the words to his melody. I was seeking this acquaintance because I had felt for a long time that we should make songs together. Maryla helped - Krajewski admits today - Agnieszka stood out. Her lyrics were very "song-like", sprinkled with real, yet accessible, poetry. Hardly anyone could do it. Her lyrics were exceptional. She had her own style, and this is extremely rare. Osiecka is recognized by how Mozart or Chopin is recognized in music. This is a miracle that few artists have, but she had it. I dreamed about composing music to such texts and this dream came true.Seweryn Krajewski collaborated with Agnieszka Osiecka until the end, until her death in 1997. They created dozens of songs together. Some of them are the crown jewels of Polish popular music, to mention only "Long live the ball" or "Run away my heart". The songs written together by Agnieszka and Seweryn are full of warmth, lyricism and life wisdom. At the beginning of the 1980s, they were both invited to collaborate with the television program "From the Diary of a Crazy Housewife". Osiecka wrote poetic responses to letters from viewers, Krajewski composed music for them. When the program went off the air, its author, Ms Krystyna Zielińska, started insisting on the release of these songs on the album - the musician recalls. - First there was one album, then I decided to do it and on the second part of "Strofek", entitled "Spare parts", songs with different lyrics appeared. Also by Agnieszka, but not from the program.Today, "The stanzas" appear complete: reviewed, ordered and supplemented. There is a place for them in the canon of Polish songs, but the author of the music and the performer hopes that they will not be treated as museum exhibits that must not be touched. On the contrary, he is counting on their new life. I hope someday, maybe in many years, some musician will find out and make bigger songs out of it. That's why I didn't want to make any arrangements here, I wanted it to be clean and to make others think - she says. - "The stanzas" are meant not only as listening albums. It is also a source from which everyone can freely draw.Tracklist:CD 11. Life poses no questions 2. Time to say goodbye 3. I do not like... 4. I prefer sunflowers 5. On the plots 6.
