CONDITION: We are happy to offer for sale a fantastic antique cobalt blue L.E. Smith water cooler or dispenser. This beautiful dispenser is in Undamaged Condition without cracks, or mold damage. The inside rim on the top of the lid has some very tiny minor roughness (you can feel it). As you can see from our photo these are not really noticeable. Note: There are a couple of small dots of deeper color, or perhaps ash that have been caught inside the glass. This is common, but we like to report everything that we can find since you are not able to look at this for yourself before purchasing it. The metal spigot is in great shape with some minor bubbling from age. Were you to use this piece, the rubber gasket would have to be replaced because it has hardened with age as they all do. The jar has great color and both the inside and outside of the jar look to have never been used. There is no residue or sickness due to age or use. Smith Water Cooler or Dispenser was introduced in 1932 in Crockery and Glass Journal as a Water Cool'r. It was made at this time in Cobalt and Crystal. Production ceased in 1937. In 1958 the water dispenser was reissued in 1958 in crystal and was produced until 1965 when it was discontinued.
