DESCRIPTION This vintage USA Holloway is their Michigan "Carhartt Detroit" style jacket in brown waxed cotton with dark brown leather collar and pocket trim. It has a high quality YKK brass zipper closure, roomy interior left chest pocket, caped front and back shoulders have a removable tack at center to facilitate embroidery, two large slant pockets, two snap adjustable cuffs, elasticized bottom band, and Holloway's famous plaid blanket lining in the body with beautiful, sturdy green nylon quilt lining in sleeves. The blanket lining and quilted sleeve lining are of much better quality than the Carhartt equivalent. Holloway sizing is true to size for outerwear and is cut generously enough to go over a hoodie or sweater easily. The people at Holloway are proud of their work as you can see by the signatures on the back of the side seam tag. It is a sharp looking upscale jacket, suitable to wear on an outing as well as to work in. My husband likes them so much that he has worn out two of them and on his third one! *A note about washing: I've washed these when they need it, tumble dried them for 10 minutes, remove from dryer to a hanger to finish drying. Most of the waterproofing wax will wash off, so when dry, I recoat them with some wax based waterproofer such as Sno Seal or Herman Survivors bees wax leather protector and return to the dryer for another ten minutes or so the set the treatment.
