Please remember this is the First AMERICAN Edition. This rare treasure has some clearly visible age/wear, but is still in lovely, Highly Collectible condition! The book appears gently read and other than some previous owner writing on the ffep/first blank page, has no internal writing, no foxing, no remainder marks, no missing or ripped pages and is NOT Ex-Libris or a BCE. The binding is holding tight and the pages are still surprisingly crisp and clean! Some general/shelf/age wear along with bumping/scuffing/fraying/wear to the spine/corners/cloth boards, chipping/wear along the edges of the pages and wear to the edge/fore pages, NOT affecting the text! As mentioned before, there is some previous owner writing on the ffep/first blank page. The writing appears to say "Property of", followed by a name we have been unable to identify, and the date of "31-mar-73". The internal writing/page has been closely photographed for your consideration. Please note the wear on the spine/cloth boards! While not terribly egregious, the wear is still very clearly visible and has been closely photographed for your careful examination/consideration. The original, First State dust jacket is fully intact and NOT price-clipped! Some general/shelf/age wear along with creases, chipping, marks, toning and numerous rips/tears resulting in some loss of paper. There is some clear pieces of tape on the inside of the jacket, NOT visible unless the jacket is fully removed but still worth mentioning/considering. Please note the wear on the spine, at the corners, on both the front and rear covers and near/along the edges!
