Description: A magnificent example of the Lady Sheaffer IV Paisley, c. 1958. Named for paisley, a woolen fabric woven with a pattern of colorful and minutely detailed figures. Dense tight repeating engraved gold wave pattern on a Jet enamel finish. Jet black plastic nib section, Sheaffer’s no. 11 black color, and palladium silver nib. Lady Sheaffer IV -- part of the Skripsert (clipless) line. Color: The body is black enamel with detailing in gold. These fish-scale patterns were called "Paisley Black" by Sheaffer. The black color end of the barrel is worn as shown. Gently used with some wear. Untested & unrestored. Highly collectible!
