Description: Walker China manufactured this plate in 1948 for the 50th anniversary of Lakeside Hospital and Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing in Cleveland, Ohio. The history of this school is quite interesting. The plate measures 10 1/4 inches in diameter. An Image of Lakeside Hospital in 1898 is in the well of the plate with Western Reserve University, now Case Western, logos around the rim. The custom backstamp is most interesting too as you can see from the picture. This plate is in pristine unused condition, probably a cherished souvenir of someone's time at the school.
